Yuna ("we", "our", "us") is an AI companion platform accessible at yunachat.ai. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: email address, display name, and hashed password when you register.
• Authentication: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
• Companion data: names, personality descriptions, and images you provide when creating companions.
• Chat messages: messages you send to companions are stored to maintain conversation history.
• Voice messages: audio input is processed for speech-to-text but not permanently stored.
• Usage data: message counts and companion interaction counts used for analytics and tier limits.
• Payment data: payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store card or payment details.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and personalise the Yuna service.
• To send account verification and password-reset emails.
• To enforce tier limits and process subscription upgrades.
• To improve the platform and fix bugs.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Google: for OAuth sign-in (governed by Google's Privacy Policy).
• PayPal: for payment processing (governed by PayPal's Privacy Policy).
• AI providers (Google Gemini, Fish Audio): chat messages and voice data are sent to generate responses and speech. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
• Railway: our hosting provider stores your data on secure servers.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Chat history is stored per-session and linked to your account. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

6. Cookies & Storage

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and browser localStorage to cache companion data for faster loading. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@yunachat.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Yuna is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will notify you by email or in-app notice of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
